Sparrow Hill Trails

Sparrow Hill offers a riding experience like no other. East of Queanbeyan lies a must-ride location where many riders have become hooked after sampling just a few meters of these pristine trails. Local riders claim that Sparrow Hill is their favourite, making it a must-do attraction for mountain bikers.

Difficulty: Due to the pristine quality of the trails and their easy flow, the trails are great for beginners and experts as there are plenty of thrills for those who add a bit of speed to their ride.

Distances: Those in the know can find as much as 80km of trails, although only 15km of trail is actually signposted.

Locals Trail Tip: ‘Sparrow Loop' is the most challenging section of the trail with rock sections, while ‘Bobsled' offers some great descents that are perfect for those who want maximum speed.

Directions: Go South from Queanbeyan towards Bungendore along Kings Highway for approximately 10kms, take the left turn signposted, drive for another couple of minutes and you will see the Sparrow Hill entrance on your right, and the car park. Ride on through the Fireroad and past the cattle gate to find the track marked directly following the toilet block.
