The Queanbeyan Pipes and Drums Ceilidh

The Queanbeyan Pipes and Drums annual, free family community event the Queanbeyan Ceilidh, will be held with the generous support of the Queanbeyan City Council at the Queanbeyan Bicentennial Conference Centre, Crawford Street Queanbeyan.

The Ceilidh originated in Scotland and Ireland and is a gathering where the community can get together and have fun through traditional music, dance, poetry and storytelling.  The Queanbeyan Ceilidh is no exception and will have a full program consisting of Pipe Bands, Scottish Dancers, a Celtic Choir, Singers, Fiddlers, Bush Poetry and more.

The event will commence and conclude with a Massed Bands display comprising of Pipe Bands from Queanbeyan, Canberra and NSW Regional areas.

    • The Queanbeyan Ceilidh is an annual community event run by The Queanbeyan Pipes and Drums for the benefit of the Queanbeyan Community and has been held annually since 2010. A ceilidh is a celtic gathering during which people celebrate as a community through traditional music, dance and storytelling.
