Braidwood
Braidwood is located about 70km to the east of the city of Queanbeyan and today is a fine display of historic Georgian town life infused with a modern sense of style.
Heritage Listing
Filled with a mix of galleries, craft shops, old fashioned pubs, churches, and a fine sprinkling of modern businesses Braidwood is the only heritage listed town found on the east coast. The visitor information centre is a great stop for a Historic Walk brochure or you can stop by the historical society museum.
Arts & Crafts
The arts are thriving in Braidwood due to the prominent studios of Sudgens and Pig & Whistle as well as many other local galleries. In November the airing of the Quilts takes place with balconies across Wallace Street covered in quilts that are laid out for all to see.
