Artist Julie Ryder is a self-tough mixed media artist who works in a variety of both subject matter and mediums, from acrylic and water colour to paper, glitter, fabric, beads, sand, wire, pastels, ink and pencil.  The artist is passionate about colour and texture and is inspired by reflecting on her time as a floral designer, describing her art pieces as vibrant, colourful, happy and more

4.     Kathleen Rhee Studio
Artist Kathleen Rhee will be exhibiting large canvas works from her latest series "Water and Cloud Abstracts".  The artist is inspired by the Australian beach, sun, surf and the time she spends at the South Coast on weekends. 5.     Findi Flooshki Studio, Natalie Maras
Findi Flooshki studio is set in artist Natalie Maras's landscaped garden. The natural inspiration for her mixed media sculptures, drawings and large wall pieces is readily apparent from her relaxed surroundings with sweeping views over Queanbeyan. Former Artist in Resident with CSIRO and finalist in the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize, Natalie loves to bridge artistic and scientific themes with humour and inspiration. Natalie will be available throughout the weekend to demonstrate polymer clay sculpting techniques, discuss her new projects and welcome your wander through her studio and garden. more

6.     Queanbeyan Art Society 
Queanbeyan Art Society will be exhibiting the Members and Gallery Painters
Exhibition 2017. 7.     Cheryl Hodges – Cheryl Hodges Botanical Art
Cheryl Hodges is an award winning botanical artist working with watercolour on paper and vellum. Cheryl’s work aims to highlight the beauty and interest in our natural surroundings and inspire people to observe more closely the things that we may otherwise overlook.

8.      Nullarbor Nights Knitwear Studio - Alice Leda Pettirosso
Visitors to the Nullarbor Nights Knitwear studio will be able to view textile pieces and wearable art that has featured in past exhibitions, as well as knitted garments for purchase made from merino wool, cotton, linen and other fibres. Items suitable as Christmas gifts such as scarves, brooches and wraps will also be for sale. As well, the Workshop will be open showing the various stages of production of garments from yarn to finished product. 9.      Sugarloaf Studio, Prue Baker
The artist's interest in ceramics is across a broad spectrum, and finds herself returning to the domestic form i.e. 'I usually work with slipped earthenware, fired in an electric kiln, though however I am currently throwing stoneware and porcelain, which I am firing in my newly built wood kiln.'

10.    Archbold Design - Alison Archbold
VizArche Farm would like to welcome visitors through their studio to see Alison Archbold’s latest collection of works. Available to view or purchase will be her brand new original luxury Australian made cushions, canvas prints, greeting cards and gift cards. Various older works including some Trompe L’oeil murals will also be for sale on the day. 12.    Christine Marshall
The artist depicts her artworks as a reflection of  her life; from landscapes, seascapes, sunsets, still life and contemporary art, and how each piece is a representation of home, family and friends, holidays and adventures. ..."My earliest memories of art were the paintings within the long corridors of our school. Visions which told stories of people, places, creatures or artefacts I desired to experience. Like the artists who inspired me, my aspiration is to bring pleasure to others through my art, to generate a need to explore, a sentiment of joy, or a smile to a face."

13.     Dennis Mortimer
Dennis Mortimer has been a practising artist for 20 years, 15 of those being in Queanbeyan where he was cofounder of the Artists Shed. During the Arts Trail, Dennis will be exhibiting over fifty works in his current studio ‘the Bunker’. Dennis also experiments in a variety of mediums including sculpture, film, photography assemblage and painting. Dennis’ work questions aspects of society, and will be happy to discuss any areas of his work with visitors.

15.    Curtis Glass Art – Matthew Curtis & Harriet Schwarzrock
Our studio is a shifting puzzle, at times a raucous family affair with contributions from two lovely boys and a menagerie. At other moments, it is a bustling glass blowing studio, hidden in our backyard in Queanbeyan. The objects produced in the studio, are often sculptural artworks, with incredible attention to detail, made predominantly from blown glass. 16.     Caroline Walker - Grime Ceramics
Caroline is a ceramic artist making wheel thrown pots and vessels.  Caroline applies hand painted and photographic images from nature to her ceramic forms inspired by observed birds and animals, ideas about the environment, and personal experiences.  Having recently moved to the Carwoola area, Caroline’s rural surrounds and bush views are proving a rich source of ideas for her future ceramic work.

Queanbeyan South Public School proudly presents ‘Art from the Heart’ - an arts showcase at The Q Exhibition Space and foyer. 18.     Michaela Laurie Studio at Wren’s Nest  
Michaela uses coloured pencils, ink and paint to create mixed media art. She is sometimes called “the tree lady” because she is drawn to the beauty and personality of trees in the landscape and to one of her favorite subjects, the Bonsai. Fantasy and whimsy are added to her work inviting the viewer into the landscape so they can imagine being there. Her work is still, quiet and takes you on a peaceful journey of contemplation. 20.     The Flowerpot Lair, Darryl Bourke & Kishwar Rahman

Darryl Bourke Is defined as an artist for being "a person who expresses himself through mediums". In a qualitative sense he is creative in, innovative in, and adept at, artistic practices of photography, painting, drawing, building, designing, and more!  View his sketches, drawings and paintings. Imagine the design process he embarked on as you view the mosaic, bottle and graffiti walls. Feel the ambiance of his passive solar lair. Marvel at the ingenuity of the talking flower pots and the interactive child's toy. Ask about the story behind the valve radio and moveble benches.

Kishwar Rahman has been collaborating with Darryl on a number of projects these last couple of years including the Flower Pot and more recently the iTransform project. In these projects they explore the effect of technology on society and individuals. Together they continue to explore sound-scapes juxtaposed over physical objects capitalising on Darryl's engineering skills and integrating the visual with the aural.

Don't miss artist 'in residence' John-Pierre Favre (retired architect and artist) as he demonstrates how he draws the iconic buildings within our region to create stunning tea-towels.  (Sunday only)
The tea-towel will be available for sale on the day. To date proceeds have gone to local charities.  The Carwoola bushfire appeal, Abbeyfield and Bywong Community playground project.
