American Car Nationals are on again in 2011, with the original organisers, and open to all makes, models & years of American cars, hot-rods, motorcycles, trucks, boats, caravans and machinery.
The Nationals is a static display of American Classic Cars of yesteryear. It’s held annually at the Queanbeyan Showground on the last Sunday in September.
The Queanbeyan Swap Meet will be on the same weekend at the same venue.
Car entry is only $5 and includes the driver, for you to come and see it all is only $3 per person.
The event dates back to 1991 when a group of enterprising members of the American Car Club of Australia Inc. had a vision: an annual event where enthusiasts of American cars could meet to discuss and display their dream machines.
Soon, the numbers grew to more than 260 vehicles in 40 judging categories, and Canberra Chrysler Day (including Australian Chryslers) is now a regular and important feature of the Nationals.
The show is open to entrants at 8am, and 10am to spectators.
